Founders Of Tugu Drum Circle

Tugu's founders: Paul Lau and Salim

Many years ago, well three years ago, two blokes came up with an idea of starting a drum circle. They decided that the area just below the Tugu Memorial would be the most ideal place to have this drum circle and they went and did it. From just the two of them, the Circle has expanded and expanded, so much so, that it consists of many members now.

A lot of people from different wakes of life have dropped by and many have returned week in week out. To keep it short, our founders vision have somewhat been realized and they hope that this will continue for a long time more....

I enjoy myself playing with people of all nationalities at Tugu Drum Circle. To me it is a place to communicate and making connections without using words. It's one step towards peace in this world!

We came to know about Tugu Drum Circle and we are motivated to start our own in our neighbourhood at Bdr Sg Long. I have created some recycled musical wares for the children to play with. If young drummers wanna be cannot afford the real thing and want to try to create their own, I have the instruction and designs posted at the following link:
