About Me

- Name: TUGU
Tugu Drum Circle is a gathering of drummers, percussionists and like minded people who would like to share their love and passion for playing drums and percussion. Our aim is promote playing drums and percussion to society at large, bringing people together from all walks of life thereby facillitating in building stronger community spirit by making music together. We see ourselves doing community service by creating a space for anyone to come along, learn basic drum skills and technique at the same time making music as group. We also like to have loads of fun. We meet every Sunday at the lanscaped area below Tugu Peringatan Negara (National Monument) in the Lake Gardens, Kuala Lumpur from 5.30/6pm to 8.30pm or later depending on the energy levels. Come and Join us, It’s free! Remember all good things in life are free!

I love the logo created. The drum does vibrate into swirls of circles. To me the variations in colours mean that drumming is a universal language understood by all creeds and races. It is a drumming chain of unbroken friendship.
To prove this fact, I took some pictures of strangers playing with the recycled musical wares I created for the kids just so that they can join the Tugu Drum Circle. You can see that everyone had a great time with you.
